Arrive at Agra and check into your hotel. In the afternoon you will visit the Taj Mahal, the extravagant white mausoleum built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal in 1632 AD. Spend the afternoon exploring this magnificent monument to eternal love with its exquisite carvings and sprawling gardens before returning to your hotel.
After breakfast, you will begin your sightseeing trip of Agra with the Agra Fort. This massive red sandstone construction was built by Akbar as a military structure. Later his grandson Shah Jahan made additions and turned it into a palace. Pay a visit to the Jehangiri Mahal, the biggest private residence in the fort that used by the wives of Emperor Akbar.
